Description
Using leather or paper, the edge-to-edge doublure is a refined and exquisite finish for the inner boards of a designer binding and, if so desired, may be made to continue on the fly leaf. A successful and smooth result depends on the careful preparation of the surface underneath the doublure, through the use of special lining and sanding techniques.
